Stronger Together: Recapping Our May Team Onsite in Rapid City

Twice a year, the Freidel & Associates team comes together for an onsite. Whether you're based in Rapid City or joining from across the country, it's one of those days that reminds you why the people you work with matter as much as the work itself. 

This May, we gathered at the Hyatt on Saint Joseph Street in downtown Rapid City. 

A Full Day of Learning, Connecting, and Celebrating

We dedicated a significant portion of the day to training, focusing this time on AI. We covered how we're thinking about it as a firm, what appropriate use looks like in our work and the positive impact it can have, and the specific tools and practices our team can put into action. It was a practical, grounded session — the kind where people leave with something they can actually use. 

The rest of the day was equally intentional. Team activities, games, a Cinco de Mayo dinner to mark the occasion, and time together rounded out the afternoon and evening. The Hyatt staff took excellent care of us throughout. There's something about being in the same room with your colleagues that no amount of video calls can replicate, and we made sure to capture it. 

Worth Celebrating

 Having everyone together in person was also a good opportunity to recognize something worth sharing. If you missed the announcement, Freidel & Associates was recently ranked #34 on the Inc. Midwest Regionals list of fastest-growing companies. Seeing that reflected in the faces of the people who earned it made it meaningful in a way that a digital announcement simply doesn't. 

Why We Do This Twice a Year 

Our U.S.-based team is spread across the country, and in-person time together is something we prioritize deliberately. These onsites keep us aligned, sharp, and connected to each other, our shared vision, and to the momentum we're building. The investment is worth it every time.
